Hummingbird, a haiku

Winged gem,
Prismed flash
Of mettle.

One of the great things about writing poetry is the occasional molding of a word. For example, in this ku I ostentatiously played with the word prism. You won’t find the word prismed in any dictionary, yet for me, it works perfectly in this poem.
